On November 29th, the University of Pisa will hold the conference “Il futuro del mandato di protezione in Italia.” This event is an essential opportunity for EnAVA and its members to share their work on protective measures for vulnerable adults outside the court system. To follow the event online, you can use the following link.
Professor Emanuela Navarretta, Judge of the Constitutional Court, will chair the event, which will consist of two parts. The first section, dedicated to the memory of Professor Luciano Bruscuglia, will feature speeches from the late professor’s distinguished alumni (Dr. Alberto Giusti, Prof. Raffaele Lenzi, and Mauro Paladini). The second section will consist of four presentations, one for each project unit. The panel will discuss the protection mandate from four perspectives: domestic law (substantive and procedural), private international law, and comparative law.
The event will showcase the ongoing research results of the EnAVA project on vulnerable adults’ protection, along with studies on incompetence. Thanks to the valuable contribution of Professor Luciano Bruscuglia, the University of Pisa has been at the forefront of research in this field since the 1980s.
